Giant “Stand And Deliver” Album Review by Glasser

Giant Band Members

David Huff and company return with their 6th studio album Stand And Deliver, and this album definitely delivers high-quality pop hard rock! Nothing groundbreaking style-wise, but that’s not a knock—if you enjoy well-written arena rock, this album is drenched in top-notch hooks and melodies, powered by the great Kent Hilli on vocals and the incredible, tasty riffs, soloing, and plenty of shred from Jimmy Westerlund.

Stand And Deliver offers up 11 tracks of hard rock with no fillers. The first song, It’s Not Right, is a rocker with a Def Leppard/Whitesnake vibe—pay attention to the guitar solo on this one! A Night To Remember is a bluesy melodic rock tune that really showcases the incredible vocal range of Kent Hilli, and by the way, check out the blazing guitar solo here too.

Hold The Night continues in the same style and has my favorite chorus on the album. I Will Believe is more of a power ballad but still rocks pretty hard, like an older Whitesnake track, and Jimmy Westerlund once again delivers an incredible solo. Beggars Can’t Be Choosers picks up the pace and is probably the most aggressive song on the album—riffs galore here, folks!

It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over is definitely my favorite track on the album—a ballad with impressive mood and tempo changes, plus acoustic parts. This one gives me chills!

The next song, Stand And Deliver, is another hard rocker with an ’80s vibe—always welcome. Time To Call It Love is another power ballad, focused on incredible vocal melodies, and man, that guitar tone on the solo is amazing. Holdin’ On For Dear Life is a totally upbeat bluesy rocker that leads into Paradise Found, yet another power ballad chock full of melody.

The album finale, Pleasure Dome, clocks in at 6:23 and is without a doubt the epic piece on the album. It starts out with a tasty guitar solo, then goes full-blown heavy riffage, showcasing everything Stand And Deliver has to offer. This is also another favorite of mine.

Giant once again proves they are still very much a force in the AOR Hard Rock genre and do not seem to be slowing down—no small feat in a market saturated with bands trying to do the same thing. There is only one Giant, and they just keep pounding out one great album after another. Having weathered lineup changes and challenges over their long career, they always find a way to deliver quality music to their massive and loyal global fan base. Frontiers Music is lucky to have them on their already potent roster.

This is without a doubt a Top 10 album of 2025 for me personally.
