Fresh off the release of their explosive new album Kill the King, Calgary rock juggernaut Prisoner catapults fans into the unknown with Edge of the Universe, a stunning visualizer commemorating their latest headlining tour. The piece blends cosmic imagery with the raw intensity of the band’s signature sound. Set against a backdrop of energetic crowds and thrashing mosh pits, Edge of the Universe captures the vast emotional scope of Prisoner’s live experience—equal parts chaos, beauty, and existential fire.
Singer Murray Emery comments on the tour and video – “The Canadian metal scene is alive and well. For our first headlining tour we were amazed at the overwhelming love and support we received from everyone that came out. Our plan is to get back out on the road next year. We also have more Alberta shows lined up for the end of 2025 which will be announced soon, as well as a documentary covering the recording and touring process of Kill the King and what it means to be an up-and-coming band.”
Edge of the Universe follows the release of the official music video for “Double Vision”, premiering exclusively via Decibel Magazine. Directed and produced by Mark Hemstock (Hemstock Films) and co-directed by frontman Murray Emery, the video brings to life the psychological tension and duality at the heart of the track. Shot in the haunting backdrop of Crooks Hollow Studio—Emery’s own creative space—the cinematic visual delves into the blurred lines between fantasy and reality, internal conflict, and the cost of chasing dreams.
