When Royal Sorrow crashed onto the scene in October 2024 with their debut single “Metrograve”, the Finnish progressive metal force instantly marked themselves as one to watch – blending razor-sharp technicality, cinematic soundscapes, and a crushing heaviness that hits just as hard as their melodies soar. Since then, their growing legion of fans has been waiting for the next strike.
That moment came with the reveal of their long-awaited debut full-length INNERDEEPS, set to drop September 26th, 2025 via InsideOutMusic.
Now, following the album announcement, Royal Sorrow return with “Bloodflower” a new single that offers another glimpse into the world of INNERDEEPS.
The band comments on the new single: “A dark meditation on lust, addiction and consequence – our new single “Bloodflower” is a visceral track about the fallout of bad choices.
Colored by sinister atmosphere, groovy riffs and dynamic songwriting, “Bloodflower” sends the listener on an unexpected trip through hell within. The song features Royal Sorrow at their most versatile and progressive, without forgetting the band’s signature catchy melodies.
“Bloodflower” is a tragedy and a poetic metaphor, a bloom both beautiful and deadly, representing something you desired deeply but that consumed you in return. When redemption seems to lie beyond your scope, will responsibility bring the much-desired bliss?“
