Copyright & DMCA
Respect for creators matters to us. Here is how to report content you believe infringes your copyright.
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Lots of Muzik respects the work of artists, photographers, labels, writers and other creators, and we expect the same of others. We publish promotional photographs, artwork and videos supplied by or credited to rights holders for the purposes of news reporting, criticism, commentary and review. This page explains how to contact us if you believe content on lotsofmuzik.com infringes your copyright, and how we handle those notices in line with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws.
Quick fixes: credit, replacement or removal
If you are a band, label, publicist or photographer and simply want an image replaced, a credit added or corrected, or a file removed, email us at [email protected] with the page URL and what you need. In most cases we can act the same day, no formal notice required.
Filing a copyright infringement notice
To submit a formal notice, send an email to [email protected] with the subject “DMCA Notice” containing all of the following:
- Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (for example, a link to the original, or a description and registration number if available).
- The exact URL(s) on lotsofmuzik.com where the allegedly infringing material appears, with enough detail for us to locate it.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Notices that do not include these elements may be delayed or rejected. Please note that knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing may expose you to liability for damages.
What we do when we receive a notice
We review complete notices promptly. Where appropriate we remove or disable access to the material, and we may notify the person who supplied or posted it so they can respond.
Counter-notification
If material you provided was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] that includes: your name, address, telephone number and email; identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district where Lots of Muzik may be found); and your physical or electronic signature. If we receive a valid counter-notice we may restore the material after the period allowed by law unless the complaining party notifies us that it has filed a court action.
Repeat infringers
In appropriate circumstances we will restrict or end the access of anyone who is a repeat infringer of copyright.
