Echoid, a new Italian-Swedish force in modern melodic metal, have released their first single “Fake Faces” along with an official video, and announced their debut album The Silent Era, out November 6 on CD and digital via Pitch Black Records.
The band features members of Noveria, Alicate, Burning Black, Order of Minerva and the Vivaldi Metal Project, and their debut is an exploration of what it means to be human in the digital age. Opening with the instrumental “Future Tense”, the album moves through the driving riffs of “The Noise”, the high-impact rhythms of “Fake Faces”, the sadness of “Offline” and the reflective “Ghost in the Feed”. Natalia Sarsgård joins vocalist Jonas Erixon on “Between The Lines”, “Break the Circuit” and “Static Crown” bring the muscle, and “Still Human” stands as the record’s defiant centerpiece before the closing instrumental “After the Silence”.
The Silent Era was mixed and mastered by guitarist Francesco Mattei (Ethernity, Noveria, Risen Crow), with bassist Alberto Rigoni composing and writing the lyrics and Andrea Zen on drums.
“If this is connection, why do I feel alone?”
