Grymheart Announce “Wake Not The Beast”, Release Title Track

Sep 16, 2026

Hungarian epic folk metal outfit Grymheart have released “Wake Not The Beast,” the title track and first single from their second album, out November 20 on Scarlet Records.

The song deals with the idea that unleashing an ancient evil force is rarely a good idea. Don’t play with fire, because you will get burned. Powerful and energetic, it works as the album’s opening track and sets the mood for what follows. The guitar arrangements fold in more black metal-inspired elements in several sections, giving the song a subtle northern atmosphere.

About The Album

This is the second studio album for the band, led by Gábor Kovács, also known as Gabriel Blacksmith, founder of Hungarian power metal veterans Wisdom. He produced, mixed and mastered the record at Blacksmith Studio.

Cover artwork comes from Gyula Havancsák, whose credits include Accept, Ensiferum, Stratovarius and Burning Witches. The band is officially part of the Dragon Productions booking roster.

Wake Not The Beast is a direct continuation of their debut Hellish Hunt, combining the energy of power metal, the harmonies of folk metal, the epic scale of symphonic metal and Blacksmith’s harsh vocals. The band’s trademark catchy melodies now come with heavier guitars, bigger orchestrations and a greater emphasis on battle choirs.

Their aesthetic draws from iconic monster and demon hunter characters, with lyrics pulling from mystical locations out of mythology and literature while weaving in deeper philosophical themes.

For fans of Ensiferum, Wintersun, Children Of Bodom, Amon Amarth, Powerwolf and Wind Rose.
