About ‘in a fever dream’

The tour supports in a fever dream, a five-song EP released digitally in July via InsideOut Music, with CD and vinyl following in September. It is the band’s first new music since 2023’s Fauna and their first since guitarist Charlie Griffiths and bassist Conner Green left in January 2026. The EP was co-produced and mixed by George Lever (Loathe, Sleep Token) and features guest bass from Bryan Beller (Joe Satriani, The Aristocrats) and Adam “Nolly” Getgood (Periphery).

It is available on CD, Deep Blood Red LP in Europe, Lotus White LP in the US and a very limited clear LP from the band’s store. Prog Magazine praised its “huge musical moments, odd time signatures and Jenning’s inimitable vocals,” while Blabbermouth called it “both a brave step away from the expected and a strident consolidation of everything that the band have achieved to date.”

Our Take

Haken are reshaping themselves after major lineup changes, and this tour is the first real chance for North American fans to hear how the new songs sit next to the classics. Pairing them with Einar Solberg, whose solo work and Leprous output are a natural fit, makes this one of the strongest prog bills of spring 2027. The New York and Chicago dates will likely go first.

Haken are: Ross Jennings, Richard Henshall, Pete Jones and Ray Hearne.
