Mariusz Duda has unveiled the lineup of the new full-band incarnation of Lunatic Soul. Until now a studio-only project, Lunatic Soul is becoming a real band following Duda’s decision earlier this year to leave Riverside and focus entirely on it.
Duda is joined by guitarist Mateusz Owczarek, who previously guested on Riverside’s Wasteland, keyboardist and producer Michał Fox Król, and drummer Michał “Malina” Maliński. Duda says the new lineup combines his “two musical worlds to date with a completely new energy”.
The quartet will debut in spring 2027 with a new album, released worldwide through InsideOutMusic, and the first live shows in the project’s history.
The World Under Unsun
Lunatic Soul’s eighth studio album, The World Under Unsun, was released last October via InsideOutMusic. The 14-track double album, recorded, mixed and mastered by Magda and Robert Srzedniccy at Serakos Studio in Warsaw, reached No. 2 on the Polish album chart and No. 3 on the UK Rock & Metal chart, with chart entries in Germany, Switzerland, Scotland and the US. You can still order it here, and revisit our coverage of “Ardour (Reimagined Version)”.
