As we usher in the new year, the “Nu Metalcore” titans Uncured have unveiled their electrifying new single “Bleed Me Dry.” This track, which opens their much-anticipated debut album WARPATH, is set for a global release on February 21st. Originating from New Jersey, the quartet—Rex Cox [vocals], Zak Cox [guitars], “King Z” Zachary King[drums], and Betto Andrade [bass]—kick off the song with a powerful chorus that features soaring harmonies, followed by frantic synths, melodic verses, a gripping deathcore breakdown, and one of Uncured’s hallmark guitar solos. The single is now available across all digital service providers here.
“Everyday life can be monotonous, especially when there is only a narrow framework for acceptable self-expression,” says vocalist Rex Cox. “Despite the ‘slow death’ that comes from the ‘thousand cuts’ of daily indignity, the song pushes the listener to break away from their downward spiral.”
Throughout WARPATH, Uncured carves a distinct path with their innovative and bold approach. The album eschews the ordinary, embracing an aggressive and fearless sound combined with a poignant message. The album’s inaugural single “Mask of Sanity” found success on the Billboard Top 40 Mainstream Rock and Mediabase Top 40 Active Rock charts and was spotlighted on SiriusXM Octane Test Drive.
