The Rolling Stones Reveal New Single ‘Angry’ and Album “Hackney Diamonds” Release Date

The Rolling Stones, led by Mick, Keith, and Ronnie, burst onto the scene today with their electrifying single “Angry.” This release coincides with the highly-anticipated album announcement, “Hackney Diamonds,” set to drop on October 20th. The trio revealed this exciting news at a special media launch event at the historic Hackney Empire, an epicenter of artistry for over 125 years in East London.

The high-octane “Angry” comes with a music video directed by Francois Rousselet, known for his work with Nike, Diesel, Pharrell Williams, and The Stones’ “Ride ‘Em On Down” from “Blue & Lonesome.” The video features Emmy-nominated actress Sydney Sweeney (known for “The White Lotus,” “Euphoria,” and “The Handmaid’s Tale”).

The 12-track album, recorded in various global locations, including Los Angeles, London, Nassau (Bahamas), and New York, will soon reveal its full tracklist. Fans can pre-order “Hackney Diamonds” HERE.

This album marks their first collection of new material since 2005’s “A Bigger Bang,” released exactly eighteen years ago on September 6th. In the interim, The Stones have shattered box office records with sold-out global tours and released the GRAMMY® Award-winning “Blue & Lonesome” in 2016, featuring their exceptional renditions of influential blues tracks. Last year, they delighted European audiences with a tour celebrating their 60th anniversary.

“Hackney Diamonds” represents The Stones’ first collaboration with New York-born producer and musician Andrew Watt, named Producer of the Year at the 2021 GRAMMY® Awards, known for his work with Post Malone, Iggy Pop, and Elton John.
