Prayers Returned With Pain is a monstrous death metal split brought to you by Little Rock’s finest Open Kasket and Boston’s own Torn in Half. The split’s goal is to bring eyes and ears to each other’s respective scenes. Opening up opportunities to both Little Rock and the Northeast to connect more in the Death Metal and Hardcore scene.

Torn in Half is a Boston based Death Metal band who create music that is intense and visceral, drawing inspiration from the violent and dark aspects of metal. Dread filled death metal, a subset of their style distinguished by its ferocious guitar riffs, guttural screams, and thundering drumming, gives their music an additional dimension of violence.
Open Kasket:
Open Kasket is a Beatdown Death band straight from Little Rock, AR formed in 2022. The band’s sound revolves around slamming riffs, groovy drums, and monstrous bass, while the lyrics like to dive into fantasy, vampires, aliens, and big snakes. These components together create the all out violent sound that the band delivers.
