As the year draws to a close, Finnish melodic death/doom outfit Marianas Rest invite fans of mournful, melancholic music to a special evening unlike any ordinary concert. The Last Dance: A Night of Remembrance takes place December 10 at On The Rocks in Helsinki.
Conceived as a journey through loss, grief and the passage of time, the night will see the Kotka band revisit their entire five-album catalog, performing songs from every chapter of their career across two distinct sets. The first is an intimate semi-acoustic performance revealing a stripped-down, more vulnerable side of the band, giving the stories behind the songs room to breathe. The electric set will feature fan favorites alongside rarities, deep cuts and long-forgotten songs, some of which have not been played live in years and may not be heard again.
The band’s fifth full-length The Bereaved, ten compositions about loss, longing and lamentation, was released in January 2026 and reached #3 on the Finnish physical album chart, their fourth consecutive album in the national top 10.
