French atmospheric metal pioneers Alcest will release their first ever live album, Live at Hellfest 2022, on December 4, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records. It will be available digitally and as a limited 2LP vinyl in natural with black smoke.
Recorded during a spellbinding set at one of heavy music’s most celebrated festivals, the album gathers fan favorites from across the band’s career before 2022, from their 2007 debut Souvenirs d’un autre monde through 2019’s Spiritual Instinct. To mark the announcement, Alcest have shared the first single and live video, “Protection (Live at Hellfest 2022)”.

About Alcest
For songwriter and frontman Neige, Alcest has always been a gateway to the otherworldly and a way of exploring his spirituality. Completed by longtime drummer and creative partner Winterhalter, the duo has always moved between genres without fully belonging to any of them.
“This is how I feel in life, always an outsider; It’s not a problem, it’s just the way it is.”
