Motörhead continue the 40th anniversary celebration of Orgasmatron with an animated lyric video for “Built For Speed”, the second single from Cameron Webb’s brand-new remix of the album. The Orgasmatron 40th Anniversary Edition is out November 6.

A live staple, “Built For Speed” is all huge riffs, Lemmy’s unmistakable bass and vocals and a relentless charge from start to finish. The animated video was created by Lee Gregory at ILoveMotion.
A New Look at Orgasmatron
Released in 1986 with the lineup of Lemmy, Phil Campbell, Würzel and Pete Gill, Orgasmatron pushed Motörhead into heavier territory and gave them live favorites like the title track, “Deaf Forever” and “Built For Speed”. Bill Laswell’s stylized production divided opinion, and both Lemmy and Campbell felt some of the band’s power had been lost. Webb, who produced six Motörhead studio albums, built his remix from the original multitracks.
“Lemmy and Phil both said they didn’t like the original mix, so I thought about what they might have asked me to do if they were sitting next to me. The aim was never to replace the original, but to reveal more of what was inside it.”

Webb also says he wanted to respect the wild, slightly messy character that Laswell and engineer Jason Corsaro captured, especially in the drum sounds.
The 40th Anniversary Edition
The deluxe 3LP bookpack and 2CD include the original mix, remastered and half-speed cut from the original tapes, Webb’s new remix, studio rehearsals and outtakes recorded in 1985, and the complete 1986 BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show session. A single LP on transparent violet vinyl features the remastered original album.
