The song is about a past love that you meet again at some point after a breakup. With a transfigured nostalgic look at the time together, old memories and emotions suddenly surface.
In “See You in Hell,” the band reflects on the frequent illusions we experience in past relationships.
Romana Aufinger explains, “Sometimes we put people on a pedestal, let ourselves be dazzled by a “one-man show” that is being played to us or does not reflect exactly what we want and how we are treated. “See You in Hell” is a hell of an ironic wink to those who don’t deserve you and a wake-up call to those who need one to see clearly.”
