Europe have unveiled the title track of their forthcoming studio album Come This Madness, out this Friday, September 25 via Silver Lining Music.
The song opens with razor-sharp metallic riffs before giving way to simmering verses that steadily build toward a huge, explosive chorus with an instant anthemic hook. The dynamics move between mellow, stripped-back passages and moments of intensity, with powerhouse vocals and sweeping guitar solos.
The accompanying video montage offers an intimate behind-the-scenes look at the band throughout the 2026 campaign, from the intensity of the live shows to the quieter moments in between.
“With Come This Madness, we wanted to write and produce songs in the spirit of the old days,” says founding member and frontman Joey Tempest. “There are plenty of soaring melodies and big choruses, and we worked hard on the production. We had a lot of fun in the studio making the album. There are strong connections to our past throughout the record and I think a lot of Europe fans are going to love it!”
“With this album, I think we’ve looked around at what’s happening in the world and tried to describe some of it through the songs. But at the end of the day, it’s still entertainment, it’s still music, and most importantly, it’s still about having fun!”
The title track follows “The Cult of Ignorance,” “One on One” and “Scandinavian Eyes,” all with videos directed by Patric Ullaeus.
Early Praise
The album has been drawing strong early reviews. Classic Rock UK called it a renewed and re-energised Europe, Fireworks named it the best thing the band has recorded since their reformation, and both Powerplay and Metal Planet handed it a perfect 10/10. Deaf Forever noted that the lineup is the same in 2026 as it was in 1984, and predicted the record will vie with War of Kings for the title of best album since their comeback.
