Bogotá-based alternative and progressive metal band Hijos del Viento will present their new album INSURGENTE in full at La Sucursal in Bogotá on October 17, sharing the night with Paralelo 45, Alta Agresión and Viajante.
The band describes itself as mixing heavy riffs, big vocals, groove and metalcore elements with a theatrical approach and what they call a healthy obsession with making things bigger than necessary.
A Record-Setting Year
The album launch caps a landmark year. In April the band made their international debut at Marcha para Jesús 2026 in Mexico City’s Zócalo, playing to a crowd reported at more than 100,000 people. According to Colombian outlet Subterránica, that made them the first Colombian Christian metal act to reach an audience of that scale, a first for the genre in the country.
They opened that set with “Martyrum” and “DISRUPT,” then used the occasion to premiere two then-unreleased songs, “Soy” and “Noir.” The set was cut short for logistical reasons, but the performance drew immediate attention on social media, and the band shared the bill with acts including Upperroom.
Their booking was handled by Independent Booking Artist Manager.
