Jim Peterik & World Stage have shared their new single “Everest”, featuring Toby Hitchcock of Pride of Lions and Bree Gordon, along with a visualizer. The track is taken from the upcoming album River of Music: The Power of Duets Vol. 2, out December 4 via Frontiers Music Srl.
Few songwriters in American rock have a legacy like Peterik’s, from “Eye of the Tiger” and “Burning Heart” to “High On You”, “Vehicle” and “Caught Up In You”. The new album celebrates what happens when great singers come together around great melodies. Produced by Ron Nevison (Led Zeppelin, Heart, Bad Company, Survivor), it features an all-star band including Phil X, Tony Franklin, Kim Bullard and Denny Fongheiser, and ten vocal pairings with guests Bree Gordon, Cathy Richardson, Kaity Heart, Toby Hitchcock, Dave Mikulskis and Colin Peterik, blending soaring AOR, melodic rock and heartfelt balladry.
“Everest is one of my favorite tracks from The Power Of Duets volume 2. It features the amazing vocal chemistry between Toby Hitchcock of Pride of Lions and the powerful voice of Bree Gordon. Everest is about the challenges we face every day- the mountains we climb- the rivers we cross- the set backs we all face each and every day. When we make it back alive we will live to fight another day. And try and make the world a better place.”
