Symphonic metal legends Nightwish will celebrate their 30th anniversary with The Greatest 30 Years On Earth, their most ambitious retrospective collection to date, out December 11, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records. To offer a taste of what’s in the box, the band have shared a live video for “Tribal”, filmed in Amsterdam in 2022.
Rather than a list of gold and platinum awards, chart triumphs, more than 50 countries toured and 9 million records sold, the collection aims for something more personal. The 4LP and Blu-ray box set and the 3CD and Blu-ray Earbook include a detailed 2026 interview with Emppu Vuorinen and Tuomas Holopainen, who look back with humor and honesty on the band’s history since that first night in Kitee, Finland, alongside a trove of private photos and rare, unpublished behind-the-scenes images from long-time friends and collaborators.
“Release your inner ape, enter the tribe, forget everything that is not now, and join the skeleton dance!”
Tuomas Holopainen
