Italian progressive power metal band Noveria have released a visualizer video for “The Viper’s Nest”, a track from their new album Becoming After, out since August 21 on Scarlet Records.
The band also plays ProgPower USA 2026 on Wednesday, September 9.
Becoming After is Noveria’s fifth record, produced, mixed and mastered by Francesco Mattei at Underworld Studio. It builds on the band’s mix of prog power metal, modern heaviness and grandiose atmospheres, but pushes into darker and deeper territory. Massive choruses sit against crushing riffs, and epic soundscapes run up against technical intensity, with vulnerability and aggression given equal weight. With a substantially renewed lineup, the band returns heavier and more cinematic than before.
The album carries a notable set of guests. Legendary pianist and composer Mike Moran, whose credits include Freddie Mercury and Ozzy Osbourne, appears on “Through Your Light.” Mistheria, of Bruce Dickinson and Vivaldi Metal Project fame, plays keyboards on “Cold Flames.” Full string arrangements and performances come from violinist Abigail Stahlschmidt, known for work with Jim Peterik and Chris Caffery, and cellist Luca Basile.
The cover and artwork were created by Paolo Conte and Bianca Gambrioli. The record is available on digipak CD and digitally, with a total running time of 53:39. Fans of Dream Theater, Symphony X, Kamelot, Nevermore and Evergrey are the target audience.
