Japanese melodic groove metal quartet Saiseiga have released 黒舞台 (Black Stage), a self-released EP that comes packaged with a live DVD. It arrived May 27, 2026 and marks their sixth release.
The DVD was recorded on November 30, 2025 in honor of the band’s fifth anniversary, and runs a full 20-song set.
About Saiseiga
Active since 2020, Saiseiga build heavy and dynamic songs aimed at shaking loose whatever negative feelings the audience walked in with. Vocalist Regan handles both an extraordinarily powerful growl and a clean voice she keeps under complete control, and the rest of the band matches that level, with playing that sharpens further in a live setting.
In four years they have put out four full albums, including a live record, plus this EP. Everything, from songwriting to arrangement, is handled entirely in-house.
In 2024 they performed at Orange Festival in India, and one of their songs was featured in the anime Kengan Ashura.
The name Saiseiga translates roughly as “reborn bud.”
For fans of Nemophila, Hanabie, PassCode, Mary’s Blood and Aldious.
