Still from the Seraphon Get It Right video

Seraphon, a dark alternative metal project built on Seraphim imagery of sacred fire, shadow and transcendence, have shared an official video for “Get It Right,” the lead track from their album Eight Songs. Eight Wounds. One Human Heart., which is out now. There is one important detail to know before you press play: the band openly state that the recordings were produced with AI.

In their note to us, Vincent DeFilippo of Seraphon was upfront about how the music was made. According to the project, two writers wrote the lyrics and melodies, and the songs are rooted in the band Krank from Akron, Ohio. The recordings themselves were then AI-produced to give the songs a contemporary sound. Our search could not confirm details of that Akron band, so we are passing on that background as the project describes it.

Two Focus Songs

The project is pushing two songs from the album. “Get It Right” runs 3:34 and is the one with the video, which appears on YouTube with the subtitle “The passion of Vainglory.” The other focus track is “Satisfied,” the fifth song on the record, which runs 2:57. The album title spells out the format: eight songs, each framed as a wound, all tied to one human heart. Both tracks are on Spotify:

Why the Disclosure Matters

AI-generated recordings are one of the most heated subjects in music right now. For musicians, engineers and producers, the question is about work, credit and what listeners are actually paying for. For listeners, it is often simpler: they want to know what they are hearing. That is why Seraphon’s approach stands out. The project raised the subject itself, twice, and drew a clear line between songwriting done by people and production done by software. Not every submission that reaches a music site is that open about it, and readers can decide for themselves what to make of the result.

Our Take

We are running this story with the disclosure up front because readers deserve the same honesty the project gave us. Whether human lyrics and melodies are enough to make AI-produced recordings feel like a real band is something every listener will answer differently. What deserves credit here is the transparency. As more of this music reaches our inbox, being upfront about how it was made should be the minimum.
