SIENA ROOT release Winter Solstice’ music video.

SIENA ROOT Band members

SIENA ROOT recently celebrated the first anniversary of their latest offering, »Revelation« (released on February 24, 2023). Before the Swedish root rockers embark on this year’s touring leg in support of the album, they have shared the music video for their ‘Winter Solstice’ track off the same record, which features flutist Lisa Isaksson. The cheery song might also be performed live by the group at their next shows since fans had the chance to vote for their favourite songs as part of the preparations for SIENA ROOT‘s shows at KuBa (Jena, DE) next week (March 14-16). Also bringing special guests on stage, those three nights will be one for the books because the band will record the follow-up to their highly praised »Root Jam« live album (2011).

SIENA ROOT state, “Days keep becoming longer and the sun keeps gaining intensity once again. We as a band have also been caught by spring fever what made us finally reload our tour bus because we’re returning to where we actually belong – to the stages. Enjoy our new little wintery adventure and see you very soon!

On its way to Jena, the Swedes’ bus will stop in Poland and the Czech Republic before arriving at its first final destination and continuing SIENA ROOT‘s journey in their home country in late April. The band lately added even more German dates plus a special Swiss festival appearance to their steadily expanding 2024 live calender to make sure that as many fans as possible receive their dose of root rock.

Founded in the late ’90s, SIENA ROOT have constantly been working on something new, ever-changing their approach and experimenting a lot – not only to keep their music fresh for fans but especially to challenge themselves. An open secret and one of the main reasons for the group being relevant as ever after all these years. Besides touring with acts such as DEEP PURPLE and DEWOLFF, the quartet — longtime/founding members Love Forsberg (drums) and Sam Riffer (bass), completed by guitarist Johan Borgström and multi-talent Zubaida Solid (vocals, keys) — have always been bringing their highly infectious performance to the stages of the world that gained them a very own load of die-hard fans around the globe.
