Montreal’s Sons of Arrakis, the Dune-inspired band behind what they call melange rock and cinematic sci-fi rock, will release their new full-length Volume III on January 22, 2027 via Black Throne Productions. First single “Rise of Disaster” features guest vocals by Luc Bourgeois of Sandveiss.
“‘Rise of Disaster’ deals with war, manipulation and the way fear, suffering and collective trauma can be exploited by political and economic powers.”

The band cite Naomi Klein’s The Shock Doctrine as a major influence on the lyrics. Musically, urgent, heavy verses give way to melodic, uplifting choruses before the track closes on a chaotic instrumental finale.
Volume III
Produced by the band, Volume III was recorded at Red Tube Studio and home studios, mixed and mastered by Karl Daniel Liden, with artwork by Alexandre Goulet. It will be available on vinyl, CD, cassette and digital. Their previous albums Volume I (2022) and Volume II (2024) both made the Doom Charts, and the band has since toured the US, the UK, Europe and Mexico.
