Colorado prog rock trio Source have released a lyric video for “What Remains”, the new single from their fifth album Resurgence, due independently on January 15, 2027.
Pre-order Resurgence on Bandcamp.
“‘What Remains’ asks the question: what is left when all hope is lost? When everything I’ve believed is shattered, what remains?”
Source
The song was inspired by the band’s experiences on tour: the unseen workload, the missed moments and the sacrifices.
“There were a few tours specifically where we all felt an unfathomable sense of dread that we had no control over our future as musicians. But underneath that dread was this sensation of being fully present in the current moment.”
Benjamin Gleason
Opening on a bass melody, “What Remains” builds into an anthemic, emotional piece in 6/8 inspired by The Cure and A Perfect Circle, blending heavy guitars with electronic percussion.

Gleason produced the album, recorded at Cymatic Sounds Studios with engineer Justin Mirarack and mastered by Tom Capeck. The cover art comes from Mike Gamble, known for his work with Tool, and limited edition multifoil posters of it are available to pre-order here.
