The highly acclaimed progressive rock ensemble, Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO), has just disclosed the schedule for their much-anticipated winter tour in 2023. Named “The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve: The Best Of TSO And More,” this revitalized presentation of a timeless multi-generational holiday tradition is set to captivate audiences across 62 cities with an impressive 104 performances, spanning both matinee and evening shows.
Conceptualized by the late mastermind Paul O’Neill and his wife Desi, this rock opera is an adaptation of TSO’s iconic 1999 multi-platinum album and TV special, “The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve.” The show boasts an array of beloved fan favorites, including classics like “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24,” “O’ Come All Ye Faithful,” “Good King Joy,” “Christmas Canon,” “Music Box Blues,” “Promises To Keep,” and “This Christmas Day.”
Continuing the O’Neills’ philanthropic vision, TSO upholds its reputation as one of the most charitable bands in rock music. Once again, the band pledges to donate a minimum of $1 from each ticket sold to charitable causes. Tickets for the forthcoming 2023 holiday tour are scheduled to go on sale at 10 AM local time on Friday, September 15.
Following a hiatus of more than two decades from touring, Trans-Siberian Orchestra made a triumphant comeback in 2021 with a celebratory 25th-anniversary tour of “Christmas Eve And Other Stories.” According to Billboard, TSO’s 2022 tour generated an impressive $66.5 million in gross revenues from 914,000 tickets sold. Notably, 77% of this sum was amassed from the December dates alone. This achievement marked the band’s second-highest grossing tour to date, coming incredibly close to surpassing the pre-pandemic record of $66.8 million set in 2019.
