Swedish hard rock risers Velveteen Queen have released “Talk or Walk,” the fourth single from their sophomore album The Greater Good, out this Friday, September 18 via Silver Lining Music.
The track is a snarling rock and roll cut packed with attitude and grit, driven by scuzzy guitar riffs and a roaring chorus. It captures the chaos of a relationship on the edge, about frustration and demanding honesty when the excuses have run dry.
“‘Talk or Walk’ is a raw, no-bullshit rock anthem about love at the breaking point. Say what you mean, fight for what you want, or get the hell out of the way!” says the band.
The video was directed by Patric Ullaeus, who has handled every clip from the album.
The Greater Good
The album channels the strut of the Sunset Strip’s glory days by way of Sweden, with a healthy dash of old-school Guns N’ Roses and spiritual ties to Aerosmith, Velvet Revolver and Hanoi Rocks. Sören Andersen produced.
It moves from the teasing riff and maraca shake of “Too Far Gone” to the sleazy strut of “Liar” and its low-slung riffs, then pulls back for the soulful ballad “Chains.” Previous singles include the title track, which features Peter Keys of Lynyrd Skynyrd on piano, plus “Adrenaline” and “Too Far Gone.”
The band has already shared stages with Alice Cooper and Judas Priest, building a reputation on explosive live shows and hook-laden songs.
