Florida power metal quartet Seven Kingdoms have shared a behind the scenes video for “Sono Sola,” the title track and first single from their sixth album. The clip shows how the band made a high quality music video on a tight budget, mixing DIY tricks with a trip to Nevada’s dry lake beds for its widest, most cinematic shots.

Nearly Two Decades of Seven Kingdoms
Seven Kingdoms formed in DeLand, Florida in 2007 and signed with Nightmare Records after settling their lineup in 2009. Their break came in 2010, when Blind Guardian picked them to support a North American tour. ProgPower USA and the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise followed, as did 2012’s The Fire Is Mine, the album that refined their sound. Later tours with Stratovarius, Amaranthe and Evergrey widened their reach. After 2022’s Zenith, they were the sole support on Powerwolf‘s first US tour and then toured the US and Europe with Wind Rose.
In 2024 they released the EP The Square through Reigning Phoenix Music. In 2025 they supported Unleash The Archers in Europe with Striker, then rejoined Blind Guardian for a North American run with Ensiferum, some 15 years after that first tour together.
Last US Dates With Nini Music
- October 22: Cleveland, OH, The Foundry
- October 23: Indianapolis, IN, Black Circle
- October 24: Chicago, IL, Cobra Lounge
Our Take
For a band whose album was paid for by its fans, showing exactly where the effort goes is a smart move. It builds trust, and it makes the finished video look even better once you know how much of it came from clever problem solving rather than a big budget. With four years since their last full-length, the darker direction of Sono Sola is the most interesting thing Seven Kingdoms have teased in a while.
Seven Kingdoms are: Sabrina Cruz (vocals), Camden Cruz (guitars), Kevin Byrd (guitars), Keith Byrd (drums).
