Golden Robot Records have announced One Way, a posthumous EP from legendary guitarist, vocalist and songwriter John Sykes, out worldwide November 6. It is available to pre-save now across all major streaming platforms.

The EP collects some of the final known recordings from one of rock’s most revered guitarists, giving fans another chance to hear the voice, playing and songwriting of an artist whose influence still carries across generations.

The announcement follows the singles “My Guitar” and “Believe in Yourself,” both of which drew a strong response from fans worldwide and served as a reminder of Sykes’ musicianship and his ability to connect through his music.

One Way brings together recordings that capture his creative spirit and uncompromising approach to rock. Soaring vocals, electrifying guitar work and deeply personal songwriting run through it, making the EP both a celebration of his artistry and a continuation of his legacy.

Prior to his passing in 2025, Sykes recorded four tracks working toward a new album with Golden Robot Records. Those recordings are what make up this release.

About John Sykes

John Sykes was a towering figure in hard rock and heavy metal, best known for his guitar work and songwriting during his time with Whitesnake in the mid-1980s. Born in Reading, England, he first rose to prominence with Tygers of Pan Tang before joining Thin Lizzy, where his tone and melodic sensibility helped reinvigorate the band during the classic Thunder and Lightning era.

He achieved global fame as a core architect of Whitesnake’s multi-platinum 1987 self-titled album, co-writing and recording many of its most iconic tracks. His aggressive yet melodic style, fused with arena-ready hooks, became a defining sound of the era and influenced generations of rock and metal guitarists.

After leaving Whitesnake he carved his own path with Blue Murder and as a solo artist, earning a reputation as a fiercely independent creative force. Across a career spanning decades, his riffs, performances and songwriting inspired countless musicians, and his music continues to find new audiences.
