M-Theory Audio have announced a 20th anniversary reissue of Terra, the 2006 debut from avant-garde cinematic and progressive black metal project Cronian. It arrives November 13, 2026, marking the first time the album has been available on vinyl.
Cronian was formed by Øystein G. Brun of Borknagar and Molested alongside Andreas Hedlund of Borknagar and Vintersorg, with the two building a cold sonic landscape that bridged aggressive metal and electronic textures.
The reissue is pressed on exclusive limited edition “Iceolated Existence” colored vinyl, restricted to 300 copies worldwide.
Terra came out of a desire to explore territory beyond their work in Borknagar. The album pushed boundaries by using digital home studios to combine extreme Scandinavian atmospheric riffs with score-like instrumentation.
The reissue was mastered specifically for audio precision by Dan Swanö, known for his work with Evergrey, Katatonia and Edge of Sanity. It also includes an expanded 4-panel insert with new reflective liner notes written by Brun.

About Cronian
Cronian was created as an outlet for Brun and Hedlund to explore cold, cinematic and orchestrated symphonic metal beyond Borknagar. The duo recorded three albums under the name.
- Terra (2006) blended heavy Scandinavian atmospheric riffs with digital synth arrangements and score-like soundscapes.
- Enterprise (2008) expanded on that synth-heavy foundation with a more dynamic and polished sound.
- Erathems (2013) went heavier and darker, with more prominent guitar work alongside complex vocal harmonies between Hedlund and guest contributors.
In parallel the two continued with their bandmates in Borknagar, releasing six albums and performing between 2001 and 2016, while Hedlund has continued to release albums as Vintersorg.
