Marilyn Manson has unveiled a previously unreleased song titled “You Can’t Die Young”, which arrives as part of an Expanded Edition of his latest album, One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2. The expanded version is out now worldwide in digital formats through Nuclear Blast Records.
The new edition takes the record’s original nine songs and adds “You Can’t Die Young” as a tenth track, extending the body of work Manson built around this chapter of his career.
One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2 was co-written and co-produced with Tyler Bates, a collaborator Manson has worked with for years. Released earlier this month, it picks up the narrative thread started on 2024’s One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1. The album produced the singles “Exit Wound” and “Front Toward Enemy”, along with opening track “Unalive”, which received a music video directed by Anthony Silva.
Speaking about the record, Manson said:
“I am proud to give you the second chapter of One Assassination Under God.
This completes my story.
I used each stone that was thrown at me to sharpen my edges. I outgrew purgatory and carved these songs into the skin of the world. As you listen I hope it forms a scar that you cannot forget.”
The Expanded Edition lands while Manson is in the middle of a North American co-headline run with Rob Zombie, with The Hu and Orgy joining on selected nights. Several dates have already sold out. That tour continues through September, after which Manson moves into a series of headline shows and festival appearances in the fall.
Alongside the release, there is a virtual One Assassination Under God art exhibition, which gathers original visual pieces next to the music written to accompany them, with audio commentary from Manson himself. The exhibition has been updated with commentary covering the new song as well. It can be visited at oaug.marilynmanson.com.
