Royal Sorrow have released “Covert”, their first single since the 2025 debut album Innerdeeps. The Finnish band has built a reputation on introspection and finding solace in darkness, and the new track leans into that.
“Covert” showcases the group at their most versatile, moving between dark and heavy passages and soaring, epic stretches, with a wide vocal range and the mix of groove and harmony their audience has come to expect. It plays out as progressive drama from start to finish.
“Covert is a meditation on transformation and the will to live on despite hardships,” the band explains. “It is a journey of growth through fire. Change is never easy, but sometimes pushing through the pain is necessary to become the most authentic version of yourself.”

Royal Sorrow Tour Dates
The band heads out with Leprous vocalist Einar Solberg on his European solo tour, alongside Raphael Weinroth-Browne and Jovian Moons, including stops at Euroblast and ProgPower Europe.
