East Nashville hard rock outfit Kalamity Kills have released a new version of “I Still Believe” alongside an intimate studio video, introducing new vocalist Vincent Langdon.
The track is a reworking of their 2023 release of the rock and roll classic, best known from the 1987 film The Lost Boys.
“Vincent brings a brand new energy to this band and gives us an undeniable, distinctive sound that we want the world to hear!” says guitarist, producer and co-founder Jamey Perrenot.
Perrenot explained why they went back to the song:
“Rowe and I both shared the mentality that a well placed, well proven cover can be money in the bank. We had some pretty decent radio success with the song right off the bat, almost unintentionally. We really didn’t know what to do with that success and never felt like the song got its best shot at radio because we didn’t have the resources or ‘know how’ to capitalize. The two of us always agreed that that song needed another chance so, by sheer coincidence, we had started the process of the remix right before Rowe quit.”
“I was mid stride with the production and intended to release the remix with Jamie’s vocal, even though he had already left. It was just sheer luck or the grace of God that Vincent Langdon came along when he did; just in time to get him on the track before the release date!”
The accompanying video showcases the recording process, a behind the scenes look that doubles as an introduction to Langdon.
About Kalamity Kills
Kalamity Kills formed in 2022 in East Nashville, Tennessee, started by vocalist Jamie Rowe and guitarist and producer Jamey Perrenot. What began as a solo project quickly grew into a full band, fusing the swagger of classic hard rock with the intensity and polish of modern metal.
Their self-titled debut turned heads in part thanks to collaborations with members of Korn, 3 Doors Down, L.A. Guns, Conquer Divide and Underoath. The music earned national airplay on SiriusXM’s Octane and landed on the Billboard Active Rock top 40 multiple times.
Beyond the studio, the band has a full live lineup with bassist and vocalist Julia Lauren Bullock and drummer Rob Bodley. Rowe departed in 2026, and Langdon’s arrival marks a new era.
Their songs range from explosive anthems to brutally honest ballads, tackling faith, failure, hypocrisy, redemption and the messy beauty of being human.
