Australian symphonic folk metal outfit Valhalore have unleashed a new live video for “The Storm,” a track from their latest studio album Beyond The Stars.
Composer Anthony Willis explains:
“We are stoked to finally share this powerful live version of ‘The Storm’, captured on our Australian headline tour last year! This is the first live recording we’ve released as a digital single, and we think the atmosphere, rawness and intensity of this live performance takes the song beyond the original. Turn it up loud and enjoy!”
It follows their recent acoustic version of “Horizon.”

About Beyond The Stars
Released in April 2025 via ROAR, a division of Reigning Phoenix Music, Beyond The Stars marked the long-awaited second full-length chapter in the band’s journey. It blends melodic death, power and symphonic metal with their folk influences, pairing crushing heaviness and sweeping melodies with atmospheric passages enriched by flute, cello and mandolin.
The album drew an enthusiastic response from the international metal press. Metal On Tap gave it a perfect 10 out of 10 and called it metal at its absolute finest and a serious contender for album of the year. Australia’s Metal Roos praised it as a perfect fusion of the modern and the traditional, closing with an emphatic recommendation. Germany’s Metal Hammer highlighted the interplay between growls and clean vocals on tracks like “The Storm” and “Horizon,” noting it gives the songs a certain grandeur.
“The Storm” stands as one of the album’s centerpieces, bringing together heavy guitars, commanding rhythms, harsh and clean vocals, and the folk and symphonic textures that define the band.
